    LOS ANGELES — Described as "the purest expression of a sport sedan in the Porsche family," the 2013 Porsche Panamera GTS is making its world premiere at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show.

    Based on the all-wheel-drive Panamera 4S, the new 2013 Panamera GTS employs Porsche's normally aspirated 4.8-liter V8, with output inflated to 430 horsepower and torque nudged to 384 pound-feet. The gearbox is Porsche's seven-speed PDK.

    Porsche has loaded up the Panamera GTS with equipment, notably the Sport Chrono package, as well as 18-way adaptive sports seats, SportDesign steering wheel with shift paddles and a leather interior with Alcantara surfaces.

    The car sits lower than before and features adaptive air suspension and Porsche Active Suspension Management.

    The automaker also said it will build a new 51-acre Porsche Experience Center, including a test track and handling course, just outside Los Angeles next year for "human performance training." It has similar customer centers in Atlanta, Beijing, Leipzig and Silverstone.

    I got a close look at this car last night and this car is definitely worth it. At $109000 it is a steal considering you get every bespoke feature from the Turbo standard plus the sports exhaust, sports chrono package, 18 way adaptive sports seats, extended leather and suede headlining, lowered air suspension, Porsche design body kit, and another 30hp on top of it.

    That actually looks better than the normal ones.  The car's proportions are actually less odd than I thought.  I just needed to see it in real life.

    Please redesign the exterior. It is the only thing holding this car back. Just ugly regardless of hp, 0-60 or feel.

    @yulookinatme: LOL!

    I know beauty is subjective and that the majority of people think this car is hideous, but I find myself extremely attracted to it (but only with the right wheels, usually the Turbo).  Its extremely curvy, but not in an obnoxious, in your face way like the M56.  For better or worse, it is one of the most easily identifiable and unique body designs out there.  550hp (again, Turbo), AWD, and Porsche handling don't hurt either (she's hot, intelligent AND she can cook!)

    That is a pretty decent jump in "reported" straight line acceleration from the 4S for only 30hp (since Porsche is highly conservative with their performance figures).

    Doesn't really look or earn the GT in my book but I am sure the engine and everything inside will say different.
