The four-passenger Panamera will debut at Shanghai with a normally aspirated direct-injection V8 and a twin-turbo variant delivering up to 500 horsepower. Porsche also plans to offer a V6 in the base version. Transmission choices will include a six-speed manual gearbox as well as Porsche's new seven-speed PDK double-clutch automatic.
The range-topping Panamera twin-turbo model will feature Porsche Traction Management with active all-wheel drive, while the standard V6 and V8 editions get standard rear-wheel drive. A new adaptive air suspension system and Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control are among the options, along with a Sports Chrono Package.
