- The SpeedHYBRID 50 also sees torque increase to 420 pound-feet.
- Top speed is up to 157 mph.
- The tuner also offers optional aero body kits and lowering kits.
GERLINGEN, Germany — It was only a matter of time before Porsche tuner SpeedART turned its sights to the new Cayenne S Hybrid. The result: the 444-horsepower SpeedHYBRID 50, an even quicker version of the German automaker's big gasoline-electric SUV.
With the increase in combined output comes more torque — 420 pound-feet — and a lower 0-60 time of less than 6.0 seconds. Top speed rises to 157 mph, which presumably makes the SpeedHYBRID 50 the quickest green SUV on the planet.
Upgrade features include a sport exhaust system with larger tailpipes and sound switch, as well as three-piece forged alloy wheels on which are mounted 275/30ZR22 tires in front and 315/30ZR22s in the rear.
The tuner also offers two different aero body kits and a choice of conventional and electronic lowering kits, depending on suspension.
Inside Line says: Tuners like SpeedART are helping to expand the "performance hybrid" niche. — Paul Lienert, Correspondent

fastest hybrid...boo. Modified the gas engine and killed the mpgs, while reaching only 157mph...aim low much? Had they somehow managed to get a more powerful electric engine in there, and increased the MPGs....while doing 160...id be more impressed. Also yea, it's pretty ugly..i like the new look too...but this is awkward.

@lostboyz
You must have missed a lot of other tuning firms offerings. Wait till things really get serious then things will get really ugly!

I wasn't sure that it could look any uglier, but now it does
