    The Cayenne S features a 400-horsepower 4.8-liter V8, while the Cayenne Turbo is fitted with a 500-hp twin-turbo version of the same engine. The base Cayenne gets a 300-hp 3.6-liter V6, and the Cayenne S Hybrid mates a 333-hp supercharged 3.0-liter V6 with a 34-kw electric motor.

EPA has rated the Cayenne S at 16 mpg city and 22 highway and the Cayenne Turbo at 15/22. Fuel-economy ratings aren't available yet on the base Cayenne and Cayenne S Hybrid.

I just test drove the 2011 S-model at a dealership in.  It is so new that even the sales manager couldnt answer some of my questions about its options and features.  Anyway, I drove the 405 hp S model.  did I like it? I expected it to be much better than the last model because the transfer cases and several hundred pounds are gone.  In additon, it's got direct injection and a new 8 speed automatic.  So, did I like it.  Well, I was suprised that it has almost the same bog and burn throttle like all the BMWs.  Why?  It's either nothing or all of it. There is nothing in between. You can't slightly brush the throttle just to pass a bus. You've got to floor it enough so the transmission kicks down and the rpm revs up.  Yes, it's got power!!! but I am just passing one car in traffic.  I dont need so much power.  The throttle in the Honda Odyssey is a champ, you can just brush it and make passes easily.  So no thanks....I didn't make the purchase.

    I saw one in person.

Looks nicer than the old one, but still nothing drop dead sexy.  Sorta boring looking, even in turbo form.

Takes 85 grand to get it looking good with some decent options.

interior is awesome and out of the panamera.

Looks great, plus the interior has finally gone truly upscale...but $40,000 extra for the turbo for 100 more hp?  Typical Porsche
