There's more power for both the Boxster and the Boxster S, and the optional PDK transmission puts it to good use.

I just bought a 1997 Boxster, manual 5-speed as I was unsure of my ability to disect a 911Targa properly. The Boxster only had 54000 miles and had really been kept in the garage. It seemed brand new. No dings at all and the rubber, seats and conv. top seemed like new. I took the car in to a Porsche mechanic for a look-through and it passed with flying colors. I had two 911 Porsches in the past but that was 25 years ago. Getting in and out was rather easy. The engine/transmission worked effortlessly and the sound of the engine/muffler was music to my ears. I'm 64 years old and the yellow Boxster gets it's share of looks. The convertible top works effortlessly and the car (201 hp) goes really fast enough for me. I can't imagine the speed of the newer models. My only complaint about the Bosxter is that I feel the bumps in the road. I take that as part of the experience. Thank you, Porsche.
