    STUTTGART, Germany — Porsche will formally unveil its redesigned 911 Turbo S Coupe and Cabriolet next month at the 2010 Geneva Auto Show. Deliveries to U.S. customers will begin in May, with prices starting at $159,100 for the coupe and $170,200 for the cabrio.

    Many of the high-tech accessories that cost extra on other 911 models come standard on the range-topping Turbo S, including seven-speed Porsche-Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK) Porsche Double-Clutch Gearbox, PCCB brakes and Sport Chrono Package Turbo. Also included in the base price are adaptive headlamps, 19-inch RS Spyder wheels, three-spoke steering wheel with gearshift paddles, adaptive sport seats and two-tone leather upholstery.

    The first new 911 Turbo S in five years features a twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter flat-6 engine rated at 523 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque, driving all four wheels through a seven-speed or PDK.

    Porsche claims 0-60-mph acceleration in less than 3.3 seconds and says the 911 Turbo S will reach 124 mph in 10.8 seconds. Top speed is 195 mph.

    Inside Line says: Don't whine about the sticker. In Germany, buyers have to pony up $198,500 for the Turbo S Coupe and $211,500 for the Cabrio — and that's before taxes. — Paul Lienert, Correspondent

    The two tone interior is a nice touch.

    I think this kind of car is aimed at SLS, Audi R8 V10 and the LP-560 so the people buying this car are not looking at bang for the buck even though your scenario makes much more sense.

    FAIL.
    Place the engine where it belongs: as close to centerline as possible.
    The ONLY Porsche I want is now a Cayman S....after it's weak engine has been replaced with a LS7 by Renegade Hybrids in Nevada.

    I'll take a Nissan GTR AND ZR1 for this kind of money.
    Porsche = FAIL.

    Since it is Porsche, I'm sure that even with all that extra standard equipment the options list is a couple of miles long.   Nice, but I'd take a Cayman S.
