STUTTGART, Germany — Seven generations of the iconic Porsche 911 take center stage at the new "911 Identity" exhibit at the Porsche museum in Stuttgart, Germany.
Porsche is also promoting the emotional "identity" theme via a new YouTube video that showcases the car and focuses on little boys and men falling for the 911.
The exhibit runs until May 20.
It also features "rarities" such as the Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 "Safari" and the Porsche 911 GT3 R Hybrid.
"Adding to the automotive retrospective are documents from the Porsche archive that have never before been on public display," said the automaker in a statement on Tuesday.
Porsche said the retrospective is designed to "celebrate the (911's) lineage and cultural significance."
Inside Line says: No identity crisis here, as Porsche honors every nut and bolt of the 911.

If you're a Porsche fan you should make the pilgrimage to the museum and take in a factory tour if you can swing that too. The main factory is nearby along with the engine plant. And you can lookinto the engine plant through one of many windows. There's also a dealership across from the museum that has some sweet rides sitting in the showroom.
Not as expansive as the Mercedes museum, but the Porsche museum is still worth your time.
