ATLANTA — Porsche Cars North America will add two new convertible versions of the 911 Carrera next spring. The 911 Carrera Cabriolet starts at $98,250, while the 911 Carrera S Cabriolet is priced from $108,950. Both prices include a $950 shipping charge.
The 911 Carrera Cabriolet is powered by a 3.4-liter direct-injection flat-6 engine that makes 350 horsepower, enabling 0-60 acceleration in 4.4 seconds and a top speed of 177 mph. The 911 Carrera S Cabriolet gets a larger 3.8-liter version of the boxer six, rated at 400 hp, providing 0-60 acceleration in 4.1 seconds and a top speed of 187 mph.
Both engines come with a standard seven-speed manual gearbox and can be ordered with Porsche's PDK automated-manual dual-clutch transmission.
Like their hardtop siblings, the new 911 convertibles are lighter than their predecessors, with a longer wheelbase and wider front track.
EPA fuel economy is expected to improve, as well.
Inside Line says: Porsche continues the rollout of the new 911 family.

Poor guy drivin the red one (high rear shot) has no idea his wheels arent doing what the steering wheel is asking for... Must be that new electronic steering.
Even if it goes where it wants to- the hump-back whale situation has been nicely resolved. Nice work Porsche.
