STUTTGART, Germany — Another Porsche racing car based on the venerable 911 — surprised? The Porsche 911 GTR3 joins the Weissach racing stable in 2010 as the successor to the 911 GT3 Cup S.
Based on the 911 GT3 Cup, the new 911 GTR3 has been developed to FIA GT3 specs and, like its sibling, uses the extra-wide body of the street-legal 911 GT3 RS, with a larger, more potent 473-horsepower 4.0-liter flat-6 engine and six-speed sequential gearbox stuffed in the tail.
The 911 GTR3 also features flared wheel arches and LED rear light clusters, as well as traction control, ABS and e-gas with a "throttle blip" function for easier shifting.
The 2010 Birmingham Motor Show in mid-January will mark the public debut of the new racing car, which will be available for customer delivery in the spring, priced from $415,000 plus taxes.

@stingray454
same reason why they add racing ABS to this car and Gallardo GT3 , a lot of rich people joining races with these cars, but they're not good enough

e-gas?? If you're spending $415,000 on a car like this (dedicated track machine), and you don't know how to properly heel-toe downshift, there's something seriously wrong.
