Like season one, this second season features aspiring professional drivers who compete in comparably prepared Pontiac Solstice GXP-Rs for $100,000 and a chance to test with team Pontiac.
Changes for this season include an increase in car count from 10 to 12, as well as the creation of two-man driving teams. Every episode will have two races, with only one driver eliminated.
At the helm once again is road racing champion turned television host Tommy Kendall. Kendall said of this year's contestants, "These are real people chasing their dreams and it's pretty inspiring."
Setup Producer Scott Gillen says, "This will be an extremely competitive season. If you don't lose, you'll stay in this thing until the end — and anyone has a chance to win the championship in the final episode."
With reported viewing parties taking place at sports bars around the country, Setup season two may just live up to all the hype.

Setup airs Thursdays 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on Speed.
