    What Is It?

    What's Special About It?
This is Nissan's first venture into the full-size pickup market and by all accounts it has exceeded expectations. Nissan claims to have done its homework when it comes to full-size trucks — we can't argue with the results.

The new truck takes some styling cues from the Alpha T concept and is powered by an all-new aluminum block V8 making more than 300 horsepower and a whopping 375 pound-feet of torque. Towing capacity is a mind-blowing 9,400 pounds.

The Titan breaks new ground by offering the industry's first factory-installed spray-in bed liner. While the Titan is also innovative in its bold styling, it's not just for show. Nissan's attention to detail is phenomenal as it offers "wide-open" rear access doors. Like many full-size trucks, the Titan comes with a small rear door that opens toward the rear of the truck. Nissan takes that idea one step further by allowing that door to open a full 180 degrees to eliminate the trapped space that can result when opening the rear access door in a crowded parking lot.

The Titan can be configured with bucket seats and a console shifter or a column shifter and three-across seating. Nissan says truck customers desire added flexibility, and the Titan goes the extra mile to accommodate. The bed can be outfitted with Nissan's Utili-track channel system that is able to offer an infinite range of tie-down points. The channels can also be used to incorporate various Nissan bed dividers and cargo trays as well as aftermarket accessories — what didn't they think of!

Nissan will focus on a half-ton model first with a 3/4-ton version due later — a supercharged performance version could follow. Initial variants will include a King Cab and a crew cab.

Nissan's full-size truck will share a platform with an upcoming full-size SUV and both will be built here in America at the Canton, Mississippi, plant.
