The big front-wheel-drive, five-passenger sedan is being offered in most markets with a choice of two DOHC V6 engines, displacing 2.5 and 3.5 liters, respectively, and mated to Nissan's Xtronic continuously variable transmission. For China, the Teana also can be ordered with a DOHC 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine.
It appears that Nissan has no immediate plans to market the Teana in North America, which gets a redesigned Maxima sedan later this year.
