What makes Nissan Rogue outstanding is that is is bigger than its competitors because it has no optional third row seater, like Toyota RAV4 which makes it's second row a lot more spacious! The seating is so spacious and the materials used are the best to outlast the others in the same class. The space for cargo sin this car is exceptionally large!I'm actually impressed that there is a little divider which pops up from the carpeted floor..This is a real innovation I've ever seen in a compact cross-over!

"Since when has a flagship sports sedan from a company of Nissan's calibre sported a manual transmission?"

The answer is since the very moment Nissan launched the Maxima. They suggest the new car returns to it's 4DSC - or 4-door Sports Car. I agree with most of your comments about the other Nissan cars, and overall they are a much more attractive choice than many a Toyota. In the case of the Maxima, the Avalon is NOT a Sport Sedan, and Datsun/Nissan has a long a storied past, which they abandoned when they dropped the MT option.

To your point, Nissan sales are up 21% in Nov. 09 (http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSN0151131820091201) My comments about their death have more to do with the slow pace of innovation. Where they were leading in design and engineering, Hyunday (up 46%) is creating more attractive cars, along with Kia.

That Nissan looks better than Toyota, is not hard to do. So yes, they will be around for a long time, and about driving innovation in pure-electric cars with the new (ugly to me) Leaf. So they may become known as the go-to source for batter tech and all-electric mainstream innovation.

With these things going for them, the Krom edition of the Rogue is a fail. As @s197gt said, "an answer to a question no one asked."

Peace and keep rockin your Xterra!

Yeah this Krom edition looks like the front of an older Nissan. Yet it clashes with the modern one. The standard Rogue looks much better.

If Nissan chose to lower this Rouge by a few inches they may be able to stir some interest in this little SUV. Not sure why they chose to graft Fords Tonka truck grill on it however. Right now this Rouge looks like an 8 year old girl with makeup on...IT JUST ISN'T RIGHT!   Shame on Nissan for trying to make the Rouge something it's not.

What is the point of this edition of the Rogue?  The standard version looks better to me.

Altima - Interior is still rather nice if you compare it to the Accord and Camry.
Sentra - I dislike. Its too plain driving-wise for its own good.
Versa Hatchback - Great utility, but its still clearly an econobox
Versa Sedan - You took out the utility, and kept the econobox... Not good
Murano - Rear looks sharp. Front grille I dislike. As for the chromed up look, its a crossover, not an SUV.
Maxima - Since when has a flagship sports sedan from a company of Nissan's calibre sported a manual transmission? Avalon doesn't have one. The Auto Tranny is more than sufficient, beyond that, go with Infiniti.

The Frontier, Titan, Pathfinder, Xterra, Altima, Altima coupe, Maxima, 370z, 370z Roadster, GTR, and Armada are admirable vehicles in my opinion. Then again I am an Xterra owner so that might make me more biased towards their truck division.

As for Nissan dying... Think again. Nobody makes great trucks and SUVs like Nissan does. The other cars pretty much can sell themselves.

The weakest thing Nissan has done in a long while. How can they have this in their stable, and the GT-R? I like Carlos, but Nissan has lost it's mojo for mainstream products. Proof? Revisions to the Altima, still lot's of hard plastic inside. Sentra? Okay, nothing cutting edge, when for a while they were modeled as a cheap 3-Series, a car you could toss about, and enjoy. Now, they're a tall box. The Versa? Long nose, strange butt, and a sedan worth puking on. The Murano was amazing when it launched, then the new one came out, looking dated and over-chromed. Now they offer this appearance kit for the car with the worst visibility in the CUV/Low Cost bin, and have the nerve to use a phonetic spelling like KROM? Who is this for? The ride height alone removes any attempt at street cred. At least the Maxima is cool again... wait. What? It's a Sport Sedan with no Manual Transmission option? It has paddle shifters... well if I wanted to go kayaking they'd be great. Oh well, every dog has it's day, and lately... it has not been the day for Nissan (370Z Excluded) in a long while. I guess that's why it's called a 'halo car' so when a brand starts to die it has a way to get into heaven. (^.^).
