2011 Nissan 370Z: Nissan's iconic sports car gets only two changes for the 2011 model year: A rearview monitor has been added to the Navigation package (370Z Touring) and there's one additional exterior color called Gun Metallic. Roadsters will now be available with an optional full-size spare tire.
2011 Nissan Altima: Nissan's Altima sedan will offer a Special Edition version in 2011. It will include auto on/off headlamps, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, alloy wheels, foglights and a rear spoiler — on 2.5 CVT (continuously variable transmission) styles. Both sedan and hybrid styles will be available in three new exterior colors: Brilliant Silver, Metallic Slate and Saharan Stone.
All three styles (sedan, coupe and hybrid) will add Bluetooth hands-free calling as a stand-alone feature. The coupe will be offered in two new exterior colors: Brilliant Silver and Metallic Slate.
2011 Nissan Armada: Nissan renamed two of the Armada's three trim levels for 2011. The SE becomes the SV and the Titanium becomes the SL. More substantial changes include the 2.937:1 final-drive ratio being common to all two-wheel-drive styles and the maximum towing capacity of two-wheel-drive styles increasing to 8,200 pounds. Maximum towing capacity of four-wheel-drive models is now 6,500 pounds. There's also one new exterior color (Espresso Black) and one new interior color (Almond).
2011 Nissan Cube: The Cube receives a new Secure Digital (SD) card-based navigation system with a 5-inch color touchscreen. The system includes XM NavTraffic and USB connectivity when part of the SL Preferred package on the 1.8 S Krom Edition. XM Satellite Radio is also standard on this style. Golden Ginger replaces Moss Green as the Cube's new-for-2011 exterior color. In California the Cube received a new LEV2-SULEV emissions classification.
2011 Nissan Frontier: Nissan made slight adjustments to the Frontier's styles and wheelbase availability for 2011 and only minor changes to the pickup's equipment and features. New styles include the Frontier S Crew Cab short wheelbase and PRO-4X Crew Cab with a six-speed manual. The LE King Cab and SV Crew Cab long-wheelbase models have been eliminated.
Look for two new option packages: SV Premium Utility package and PRO-4X Luxury package. SV, PRO-4X and SL styles now offer a vehicle immobilizer and bed rail caps, while SV styles are now available in Navy Blue. LATCH anchors and a Top Tether child restraint on the driver-side rear seat are available on all King Cabs. Four-cylinder SV styles will offer the same seat fabric as SV V6 styles in 2011.
2011 Nissan Juke: A new model for 2011, the Juke is Nissan's entry into the ill-defined compact hatchback/crossover market. Powered by a 1.6-liter turbocharged direct-injected four-cylinder engine generating 188 horsepower and 177 pound-feet of torque, the Juke offers ample power in a diminutive five-door package. All-wheel-drive and front-drive versions are available, as are two transmissions: a CVT (AWD only) and a six-speed manual.
2011 Nissan GT-R: Only one style GT-R is available for 2011. The GT-R Premium is now the only model available with the elimination of the base GT-R. Other changes, including wildly insignificant additions such as darker wheel center caps, mean Nissan is betting the more powerful 2012 GT-R will be the focus of most enthusiasts' attention going forward.
But wait, there's more. For 2011, that is: double clearcoat on the front and rear fascias, cooling ducts to aid cooling of the rear floor, stiffer rear suspension bushings, standard auto on/off headlamps, speed-sensitive wipers and a USB iPod interface. Electronic upgrades include standard streaming audio via Bluetooth and DVD playback, plus XM NavTraffic and NavWeather capability included in the navigation system.
2011 Nissan Leaf: All-new for 2011, Nissan's all-electric Leaf offers a claimed 100-mile range (EPA indicates 73 miles) and four- to eight-hour charge times from a 220-volt outlet (30 minutes using a quick-charging station). The Leaf is said to accelerate to 30 mph quicker than an Infiniti G37 thanks to its 80-kilowatt electric motor and 24 kWh lithium-ion battery pack.
Two trim levels — SV and SL — are available. After federal tax credits the Leaf will ring up about a $25,000 tally at the dealer.
2011 Nissan Maxima: Nissan won't admit that the Maxima's dark chrome grille and smoked headlights on Sport models are insignificant, so we'll go ahead and point out that if it weren't for this buyer's guide we wouldn't bother discussing them. Nope. Not for one second. The new rolled edge on the Maxima's tailpipe finisher is also conspicuously inconsequential but supremely fun to say. Sport models feature a metallic center stack and door pulls along with shiny gray interior stitching and something called a "metallic automatic transmission finisher" in case you'd like your automatic transmission finished metallically. Further pulse-quickening additions? Three new exterior colors: Brilliant Silver, Metallic Slate and Pearl White.
2011 Nissan Murano: A new trim level, the Murano SV, includes a dual-panel power moonroof, 7-inch color monitor, rearview camera, eight-way power driver seat, USB input for iPods, XM Satellite Radio, auto on/off headlamps and Bluetooth. S, SV and SL styles get a new 18-inch alloy wheel design. LE styles will offer a new center stack and wood grain hue, while the Murano SL adds a heated steering wheel and auto-dimming rearview mirror with compass and HomeLink Universal Transceiver.
All Muranos will get a new front grille and bumper design as well as white instrument panel illumination. There's also one new exterior color: Graphite Blue.
2011 Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet: The Murano CrossCabriolet is exactly what it sounds like it should be — a Murano convertible. Its soft top retracts behind the second row. Seating for four is available in this two-door.
As the range-topping Murano, the CrossCabriolet comes loaded with features like HID headlights, 20-inch wheels, leather seats and wood trim. All models will be all-wheel drive as well. The same 265-hp V6 that powers all other Muranos is standard along with a CVT. Sales begin in the spring of 2011.
2011 Nissan Pathfinder: In celebration of the Pathfinder's 25th anniversary, Nissan is introducing the Silver Edition for 2011, which includes 17-inch wheels and body-color side moldings with chrome inserts. There's a Bose premium audio system with 10 speakers, XM Satellite Radio and Bluetooth, as well as keyless start and entry. The interior benefits from a four-way power-adjustable front passenger seat, heated front seats and full leather upholstery. It's available in two- or four-wheel drive with a V6 and a five-speed automatic transmission.
The Pathfinder SV replaces the previous SE style and there's one new exterior color: Espresso Black.
2011 Nissan Quest: Fully redesigned for 2011, the Quest is back in step with the rest of the players in the minivan segment when it comes to size. Its 118.2-inch wheelbase and 68.1-inch track width compare favorably with the Honda Odyssey and Toyota Sienna. Power comes from Nissan's 3.5-liter V6 rated at 235 hp and 240 lb-ft of torque, but premium fuel is required to achieve this performance. Nissan's CVT is the only transmission option. Fuel consumption is estimated at 16 city and 24 highway mpg.
The Quest is offered only as a seven-passenger model (there's no bench option in the second row), but the second-row seats recline, move fore and aft, fold and can be removed. Maximum cargo volume is 148 cubic feet.
Four styles (S, SV, SL and LE) are available. The base S model offers all the basic minivan features, along with keyless start. The SV adds desirable features like a back-up camera, automatic climate control, Bluetooth and a USB input. The SL adds the power-fold feature for the third row along with leather upholstery, while the high-line LE heaps on the luxury with a navigation system, a 12-speaker Bose audio system, a rear entertainment system, the Plasmacluster purifier, a blind-spot warning system and low-beam xenon headlights.
2011 Nissan Rogue: Styling changes for the 2011 Nissan Rogue include a new front fascia, front spoiler and rear spoiler. Inside there's new mood lighting, rear heater ducts, outside temperature display, a manual lift function on the driver seat and an additional 12-volt power outlet (two total).
The Rogue SV gets a 4.3-inch color audio system display that couples to the rearview monitor. SV styles now offer a center-console-mounted USB display. A new Navigation package that includes a 5-inch color touchscreen and XM NavTraffic is also available. The Premium package on SV styles now includes navigation, a power glass moonroof, automatic air-conditioning and automatic headlamps. SV styles will replace the previous SL.There is, however, a new SL style that includes a leather-wrapped steering wheel and leather seats, heated front seats, 18-inch alloy wheels, a navigation system, a Bose premium audio system and more.
Krom edition Rogues will now be equipped with 18-inch wheels. All Rogues will be available in four new exterior colors: Black Amethyst, Cayenne Red, Frosted Steel and Pearl White.
2011 Nissan Sentra: The majority of changes to the Sentra for 2011 include package revisions for all styles. Three new packages are available: the SL Value package, Visual Audio package and SL Audio package. The Sentra 2.0 now offers ABS as standard equipment, while 2.0 S and 2.0 SR styles get stability control as standard. SE-R and SE-R Spec V models are now standard with navigation. Heated front seats have been added to the SL Leather package.
2011 Nissan Titan: Minor package tweaks are the extent of the changes to the Titan for 2011. A moonroof, flip-down 8-inch LCD screen and DVD player plus an auxiliary jack and wireless headsets have been integrated into the PRO-4X/SL Technology package. SL styles now come standard with captain's chairs, and "4x4" tailgate badges are added to S, SV and SL 4x4 models.
2011 Nissan Versa: Still at least one model year from a full revision, the Versa sees only minor changes for 2011. Sedan S styles will include a standard six-CD stereo. Antilock brakes are now standard on all styles except the Sedan 1.6 Base.
2011 Nissan Xterra: PRO-4X style replaces the Off-Road style for 2011 and the Xterra S 4x4 6MT style is new to the lineup. S styles receive body-side molding, and two new exterior colors are available: Lava Red and Metallic Green.
