    • Look for 2011 Nissan Muranos at U.S. dealers in mid-October.

    FRANKLIN, Tennessee — Two years after receiving a complete overhaul, the Nissan Murano gets modest exterior and interior tweaks, plus a new SV trim level. Look for the refreshed 2011 Nissan Murano to show up at U.S. dealers in mid-October.

    The 2011 Murano features a restyled grille, bumper and taillights, plus an updated 18-inch wheel design. Cockpit enhancements include new white illumination for the gauges and new trim on the center stack.

    Available with both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive, the new Murano SV trim level slots above the basic S series and below the SL and range-topping LE.

    Nissan has added equipment to the various trim levels, including new audio and entertainment gear. Notably, SV and SL models pick up Bluetooth and iPod connectivity as standard equipment. The SL also gets Bose audio as standard.

    Pricing will be announced closer to the on-sale date.

    The engine in this vehicle is super sweet. Very quiet and buttery smooth :)

    Looks better than when the Murano was first introduced. On the road, the latter kind is very portly looking. This design seems to make it look slimmer and moar athletic. I mean, kinda. SUVs ain't my cup of tea tho

    @Jon

    I hav to agree with you about Honda, but the Toyota Venza is a very worthy competitor to the Edge.  Features and content wise it is lacking on and it terms of horsepower with 268 available no one with complain.  I would get the Venza over any car in the class is the perfect family vehicle anyone care to differ?

    pontneuf; although I agree with you in regards to Nissan's crossover and SUV segment, I would have to completely disagree with you in regards to their sedans. The Maxima and Altima are two of the most eye pleasing vehicles in their respective segments.  Maxima is much  better then Avalon, and the Altima though now dated, is still better then the bland Camry.

    Now back to the actual article: I spent a good 30 minutes yesterday defending this SUV against the Ford Edge, and now I am forced to take it all back. The Edge has more standard horse power, better interior, and better MPG then the Murano, and I thought I would never say that.

    Sorry Nissan, the domestic is winning this battle.

    Does anybody own one?  I'm interested in what the outward visibility is like around the D-pillar area.  That looks like a huge blind spot.

    Still ugly, still weirdo, still a freak.
    Nissan is getting it done with the interiors and really messing it up with the exterior design.

    I'm happy to see that while IMHO, Honda and Toyota are taking steps backwards in terms of interior design and quality, Nissan is trying to take a few steps forwards.
