NEW YORK CITY — Nissan had intended to unveil its 2009 Maxima tomorrow at the 2008 New York Auto Show, but online forums helped make the images available 24 hours earlier than planned.
Previously Nissan released only teaser images of its sporty midsize sedan.
If online forums cooperate, official specifications won't be released until tomorrow. However, the Maxima is expected to continue to use the VQ-Series V6 with some performance upgrades. A diesel version of the Maxima is slated for 2010.
