- The Juke arrives in U.S. showrooms in the fall.
- The U.S.-market Juke will be powered by a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine.
NEW YORK — The all-new Nissan Juke, which had its world debut earlier this month at the Geneva auto show, is making its American premiere this week in New York. Nissan said the compact crossover, which slots below the Murano and the Rogue, will be priced from "just under $20,000" when it hits U.S. showrooms this fall.
The U.S. version will be powered by a new turbocharged 1.6-liter gasoline direct-injection four-cylinder engine, rated at 180 horsepower and 170 pound-feet of torque. Buyers will be able to choose from front- and all-wheel-drive variants. A six-speed manual will be offered on front-wheel-drive models, while Nissan's Xtronic continuously variable automatic also will be available.
Standard features on the U.S. model include vehicle dynamic control, ABS and six airbags. Among the options are leather upholstery, a rearview monitor, smart key, push-button ignition, power moonroof and a nav system with real-time traffic info.

Still like driving my Juke but have audio problems. First is the XM_Radio turns off at times and never starting again without manually turning it On and Off. Being told I can't cancel XM and transfer my SIRIUS to the Juke.
I am also having problems connecting my Samsung Intercept. Also being told not all cell phones will work. Why is Nissan selling a product with a new car and you can't use these expensive options.
Nissan needs to fix this by offering replacements with a product that will work.
My first problem was the passenger air bag. The light kept blinking and showing it wasn't activated. Nothing was ever on the seat except the Sales Mgr. showing me how to use the options on the dash. The "Flashing" started during my drive home. I took the Juke to Autoway Nissan as an emergency fix. They finally had to call Nissan and were instructed to 'Reset' the computer.
Hopefully I did not buy a LEMON.
Upset with NISSAN. This is 2011 and Technolgy features should be easy.

I love it!
I've never been a "car" person and I've owned ten full size 4x4 trucks. I've been looking for an additional vehicle that would be easier on gas to run around town in. I want the AWD 6 shift and I can't wait till this thing hits the dealerships. I love the European look and it's chunky design. I'm also glad to see a 17" wheel so it's not sitting on the ground.

Mini, move over. Finally, a sub-hatch from Japan with decent hp that will blow the competition away. Ford Fiesta and Mazda 2? Not even close. And try adding nice options like a sunroof or leather to a Fit, Yaris, Versa, xD or Matrix. Quirky styling? Bring it on - the quirkier the better in my book. On paper and in pics, I was sold, but then I noticed in the pics that there's no armrest. Picky as I am, that would be a huge dealbreaker. Nissan, if you're listening, PLEASE make an armrest available as an option!!

In my opinion they picked the wrong base engine because it makes the Juke more expensive than vehicles of similar size like the Honda Fit.
180hp seems competitive with the CRV, but the Juke is considerably smaller in size, so if you want to race it is Ok, but if you want to carry your stuff, the Juke has no chance.
I think they should offer a cheaper base version with the engine of the Versa, and have a SE-R version with the 1.6 turbo engine.

I really like this CUV, however I'm beginning to see a strong overtly French influence in Nissan design language of late, and I not sure if that's a really good thing.

I'm looking for something unusual like the Cube and how the Scion XB was when it first debuted but with more interior space and a bigger engine....I think the Juke might be it. Looking forward to the fall so I can take one out for a test drive

It's hard to be original these days, and with the boring designs Nissan has made of late, and the retarded Cube - have you seen it's crappy interior? It's like sitting inside a fridge! - I'm all for the Juke, it will have it's own following, and if it's built well enough it may become the next Subaru Brat - a car often sought by collectors long after it was 'new and strange'.
Hmmmm... maybe Nissan could help Subaru get it's 'weird' back - so they'll stop selling useless Corollas as Imprezas.
Sheesh!
