2011 Nissan Juke: 2010 Geneva Auto Show

    9 Ratings

LONDON — Nissan released the first details on its 2011 Juke compact crossover, which debuts next month at the 2010 Geneva Auto Show and goes on sale later this year in Europe, Japan and North America.

Styled at Nissan Design Europe in London and built at the company's Sunderland plant in northeast England, the Juke was teased at last year's Geneva show as the Qazana concept.

The five-passenger Juke is built on Nissan/Renault's global B platform (as are the U.S.-spec Nissan Versa and Cube) and will be available in both front- and four-wheel-drive configurations.

In Europe, it will come with a choice of three engines, two gasoline and one diesel, including a new turbocharged and direct-injected, 1.6-liter four-cylinder that makes 188 horsepower and 177 pound-feet of torque. Transmission choices include two continuously variable transmissions (CVTs), plus five- and six-speed manuals. Expect the drivetrain offerings to be simplified considerably for the U.S. market

Top-of-the-line models will roll on 215/55R17 tires.

In the U.S., 2011 Nissan Juke will be slot in beneath the Murano and Rogue when it goes on sale. In Europe, it will complement the Note and the Qashqai.

The interior is atrocious. The center stack is the same shape as a Toyota pickup from yester year.

There are rumors that Nissan is going to build a small crossover in the same plant where it manufactures the Versa (Aguascalientes,  Mexico).

This may be it, and will probably substitute the Cube.

The rear end looks like a Volvo.

    JUKE?  More like JOKE!!!!!

Isuzu tried this a while a go with the Vehi-cross.  I didn't work for them either.  Stupid import only minions will buy it though.

Is it a crossover or a tennis shoe?

Agree that if I were in the market for a small utility vehicle this would make me drool.  Nowadays, I drool over Siennas and Odysseys.  Don't laugh!!

Do we really need another crossover Nissan??? Cool looking I will admit but Nissan is becoming Toyotalike by offering too many models to choose from. How do you not conquest yourself or annibalize sales of the cube with this crossover? I just don't understand?
