2008 Beijing Auto Show Preview: Nissan Intima

BEIJING — Nissan is poised to introduce a China-market edition of its new Intima sport sedan, which made its world debut as a concept last fall at the 2007 Tokyo Auto Show. After a 2008 Beijing Auto Show unveiling, the production Intima will go on sale later this year in China — where it will serve as the brand's flagship model — as well as Japan.

Nissan already has sent out a teaser press release in Chinese saying that the car will be officially uncovered on April 21.

One item unlikely to make the cut for production: the eye-catching suicide doors.

What this means to you: So far, Nissan has no plans to market the Intima in North America. — Paul Lienert, Correspondent
