TOKYO — Among several efforts to dress up the Nissan GT-R for the 2010 Tokyo Auto Salon earlier this month, Japanese tuner Tommy Kaira probably expended the most energy, putting much of its focus on the GT-R R35.

TK's Ebbrezza-R Sports package for the GT-R, priced at around $18,500, includes a carbon fiber bumper, grille, spoiler, diffuser, side ducts, side skirts, wheel arches and rear wing, as well as Pirelli P Zero tires (225/40R20 front, 285/35R20 rear) mounted on AVS Model F15 Platinum wheels.

Interior upgrades include hand-stitched burgundy leather and red Alcantara trim with contrasting white stitching, Recaro bucket seats and carbon fiber accents.

Among the hardware enhancements are a titanium sport exhaust system ($3,800) and sport suspension ($6,900).

Is it me, or does it seem like half of Nissan's GTR production is going to modders. There seem to be a hella lot of them.

Hmmm... for $3800, it's probably just the muffler and not a cat or turbo-back.

Tacky and ugly.  The carbon on the rear fenders looks like the plastic cladding on the Honda Element.

Looks nice, but I'm waiting for a Spec M to come up

Very nice.  Something that American aftermarket tuners can only dream of doing.  Perhaps they should all go to Japan for some serious schooling.  Oh wait... I forgot... Schooling and American do not go together quite well... Too many "left behind" children.

Now all they need to do is add fangs to the front and nuclear ray-producing spines to the roof and rear glass to make it authentic.
