FRANKLIN, Tennessee — Nissan said prices on the base models of the 2011 Altima sedan, coupe and hybrid will remain unchanged from the 2010 editions. The least expensive version is the 2011 Altima sedan 2.5, which costs $20,650, including a $750 shipping charge. The 2011 Altima coupe 2.5 S starts at $23,690, while the 2011 Altima Hybrid 2.5 lists for $27,530. All models are on sale now at Nissan's U.S. dealerships.
There are no major changes on the 2011 Altima. Nissan has added a Special Edition package on the Altima sedan 2.5 S, and is offering three new exterior colors on the sedan and hybrid and two on the coupe.
Prices have inched up on some trim levels. For instance, the sticker on the top-of-the-line Altima sedan 3.5 SR has risen $220, to $25,490. The most expensive model, the 2011 Altima coupe 3.5 SR with six-speed manual transmission, remains unchanged at $30,850.

The 2011 Nissan Altima is available in sedan and coupe body styles.2011 Nissan Altima has best features like two engine choices. The 2.5 models get a 2.5-liter four-cylinder that produces 175 horsepower and 180 pound-feet of torque. The 2011 Nissan Altima hybrid price starts at 20,650 USD. Since its introduction, the Altima has been steadily improving its quality and I feel it's at least as good as any other sedan at this price. Quiet, solid and well built.

The Nissan Altima Hybrid is a midsize sedan that offers 5-passenger all the style, comfort and technology with the gasoline version, but with benefits in fuel economy and reduced emissions. In September 2002, Nissan and Toyota signed a basic agreement in which Nissan will supply components to Toyota Hybrid System (transaxle, inverter, battery and control unit) allowing Nissan to produce 100,000 hybrid vehicles within five years. Nissan will supply gasoline and electric motor means that the Altima hybrid will lead very different from the Toyota Prius.

Or not.
We always have the option of selecting which alterntives are most attractive, and then buying the vehicle that makes the most sense to us as individuals.

The Accord is the benchmark , in another word is the best family sedan.
This is a Altima report and ive read the word Accord seven times , so what a people have to do,
go to a Honda dealer, see the Accord and buy it.

The Altima and the Accord deserve each other, evidently in a street race. Story right here on Inside Line http://www.insideline.com/honda/accord/2009/dui-charge-in-driver-decapitation-accident-in-new-york.html#add-comment

i would take the Altima coupe instead of the accord, I saw one of those 2 door accords and it looks ugly, front fenders too big, the butt way too big, ugly car..

You are definitely right about the Accord coupe, but as far as teh sedan goes. The Altima is the better buy. It's quieter, has moe power, and the interior, alhought looks simple, the attention to detail is superior then that of it's Japanese counterpart.
I would take the Accord coupe over the Altima coupe, but the Altima Sedan gets my dollar hands down.

Wow, thanks for the link(s)! That's exactly what I was looking for. I didn't realize how far back the site had tests and such.

Inside line has tested a 08 Alitma Coupe and 08 Accord Coupe already

The Accord Coupe won because it has sportier driving dynamics, roomier interior and trunk, more pleasant ride, and had an overall, higher quality feel over the Altima coupe. The 2 cars are neck in neck in acceleration but honda has been building the Accord coupe for much longer thus has better experience and knows how to do it right.
