    Just the Facts:
    • The new 370Z Nismo RC racecar is lighter — and faster — than its production counterpart.
    • The 370Z Nismo RC comes with an FIA-compliant roll cage, fire extinguisher, racing seat and numerous performance upgrades from Nissan Motorsports.
    • The track-ready 370Z Nismo RC makes 355 horsepower — 5 hp more than the street-legal 370Z Nismo coupe.

FRANKLIN, Tennessee — Nissan Motorsports has begun taking orders for its new 370Z Nismo RC, a track-ready racecar based on the production Nissan 370Z and street-legal 370Z Nismo coupe.

The 370Z Nismo RC makes 355 horsepower — 5 hp more than the street version and 23 hp more than the stock Z-car — and 276 pound-feet of torque.

Nismo also has stripped weight from the RC, which tips the scales at a relatively modest 2,954 pounds.

Better still, the RC gets all sorts of Nismo hardware, including race exhaust, tuned ECM, high-capacity clutch, flywheel, engine oil, transmission and differential coolers, plus a Recaro racing seat with six-point racing harness, Sparco racing steering wheel, race-ready carbon-fiber switch panel, FIA-compliant roll cage and fire extinguisher.

Nissan says the 370Z Nismo RC conforms to FIA GT4 and World Challenge GTS class specifications and can be modified to compete in the Grand Am Continental Tire Challenge GS class.

Inside Line says: Another choice for serious club racers.

Under 3,000 lbs is pretty good actually.  That's around the same weight as a Porsche GTR RS 4.0, though not nearly as powerfull.  The 370Z Nismo RC is priced somewhere around $150k, a lot of money, but what you get is a race ready car with all the R & D taken car of.  The GT-R has an RC version also, which is around $250k.  The GT3 RS is around $185k with the GT2 RS around $245k.  I don't think people quite understand the purpose of these cars.  You can't compare these to street going versions any more than say, a rally spec Ford Focus to a regular Ford Focus.

And how much is Nissan going to charge for this? probably way more than a GT-R which in absolute storck form would kick this car's butt!

I hope they added a serious oil cooler and upgraded brake pads.  The 370Z is shown not to like the track.

After stripping everything out and it still weighs in nearly 3000lbs for a compact 2 seater form factor! That must be a solid steel roll cage, LOL!

Does the price include track ready brake pads, or are they an upgrade like the regular Nismo?

"That's a pretty realistic looking RC car...and they have a normal RC car?...355hp...oh"
