Lurking in the back of the Japanese options catalog, this Nismo S-tune is first, but assuredly not the last, tuner version of the fast and impressive new 370Z. This time it's not a complete car but the compilation of two different Nismo packages that can be ordered through Nissan dealers in Japan, starting in January.
First, the Aero package bumps up the stock Z-car profile with an extended nose treatment and extrovert rear spoiler. Check out the aggressive lower body extensions for side sills and fenders, too.
The Aero package costs the equivalent of $4,140 to $4,400, which varies depending on the car's body color. It can be ordered on its own or together with the S-tune Performance package, which comes out at a more serious $11,000. That choice stiffens up both shell and suspension through new Nismo anti-sway bars, springs and shocks, plus a three-piece S-tune body brace kit.
There's a fresh set of LMZ5 aluminum 19-inch wheels. Brake pads are upgraded, and the Nissan's stock 3.7-liter V6 breathes through a bigger, sportier and doubtless more vocal all-stainless Weldina muffler.
Combined, Nissan will offer the two S-tune packages for $14,866 to $15,134, depending on color, in addition to the price of the Z-car. In Japan, that means a price range somewhere between $53,000 and $63,000 for the complete product.
As to whether this S-tune package will be heading for the States, that's yet to be revealed.
