Mitsubishi SST Spyder
Mitsubishi representatives now admit that the SST Spyder concept car is a close representation of what the next Eclipse model will look like. The front grille and headlights are said to be almost identical to the new Eclipse's front sheetmetal, while the rest of the 2000 Eclipse will be similar to the Spyder, but less exaggerated. The engine compartment of the SST can accommodate several current Mitsubishi drivetrains including the larger 3.0-liter and 3.5-liter V6 engines that are not currently available in the Eclipse line.
