Mitsubishi Space Liner Concept
What's special about it?
Described as a sanctuary on wheels, the Space Liner's focus rests solely on soothing its four passengers. Maximum passenger space and soft lighting create a mood of relaxation, while spacious door panels hold even the largest of water bottles. The front seats swivel for easier entry and exit, and even the steering unit and instrument panel tuck away for more interior room when the car is parked.
Soft-touch finger controls for the accelerator and brakes make driving extremely low effort, and rearward cameras make sure you never miss that blind spot. An advanced safety system includes a laser radar, cameras and other sensors that monitor surrounding traffic and maintain a safe distance for stress-free travel. A fuel cell drivetrain powers both the front and rear wheels using clean energy derived from hydrogen-oxygen reactions.
Why should you care?
Living in L.A. makes the idea of the Space Liner something we could warm up to, but the execution is still a bit out there. Stick some of this mood-enhancing hardware in a Montero, and we would likely get in and never leave. Ed Hellwig
