CYPRESS, California — The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Experience 2, sponsored by Mitsubishi and Jim Russell Racing Drivers School, kicks off on July 15 at the Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, California.

The track-oriented program is open to all graduates of the Lancer Evolution Experience 1 and costs $1,495. It ends with an on-track time competition, pitting students against each other. Winners of the Time Attack will get a chance to win a free Mitsubishi for a year.

"First off, it's a brush-up on driving dynamics and line theory in the classroom before a couple of warm-up runs on our paddock exercises as we put a clock on you to track your segment times while coaching you on improving your skills as a driver and how to unleash the performance potential of the Lancer Evolution X," said the Jim Russell Racing Drivers School in a statement.

No, you don't even win one.  You win a CHANCE to win one.

That said, I'd take a free Evo X for a year.  I'd also happily attend said school if the funds & opportunity showed itself.
