LONDON — The Mitsubishi i MIEV may have found a new and unusual role — as a U.K. police car. The Japanese automaker showed off a version of its tiny electric vehicle in full police livery at the National Police Show.
Mitsubishi said it was "inundated" with requests from British police departments to put the vehicle through local trials. The first i MIEV police package will be put into full operation by the West Midlands Police.
The production i MIEV goes on sale to the public late this year in the U.K. The car seats four and has a top speed of 81 mph and a range of 100 miles.

Yeah leave the Evos, Subbies and Lambos Cop-Cars to take care of the badguys... use the iMIEVs to pull over those city drivers who cheated on the Drivers License Test and have no idea WTF they're doing on the streets >:-[
