2004 Mitsubishi Diamante
What's Special About It?
Mitsubishi's Diamante has had a less than illustrious past, at one point being relegated to fleet sales only. For 2004, Mitsubishi has given its flagship its new corporate split grille face and smoothed out the rear with a new trunk lid and bumper. Apart from new wheels and tweaks to the VR-X model (including the adoption of the Sportronic automanual transmission), the Diamante is pretty much a carryover.
Why Should You Care?
If you want to drive something less common than a Lexus or Infiniti in the entry-level sedan segment, you may want to consider the less expensive but not as polished Diamante. John DiPietro
