AACHEN, Germany — When last we heard from AC Schnitzer, the German tuning house had transformed the battery-powered Mini E into a racy little polizeiwagen. Schnitzer continues to work its magic on Minis, this time on the Countryman.
While the tuner is formulating a go-fast package for the larger Countryman, it kicks things off with some dress-up items, specifically new wheel-and-tire combinations in sizes up to 19 inches, in either silver or two-tone finishes.
Schnitzer also offers several interior upgrades and accessories, notably an aluminum pedal set and a choice of gearshift knobs, including an aluminum ball and a leather-wrapped number with digital gear display.
Inside Line says: Stay tuned for some serious under-the-hood upgrades. — Paul Lienert, Correspondent
