    • Mini is offering several accessory items to complement its upcoming Countryman.
    • T-shirts, Wellies, parkas and picnic tables are available in Mini's online store.
    • The Countryman goes on sale in the U.S. in early 2011.

OXFORD, England — In keeping with its go-anywhere theme, the all-new Mini Countryman will offer buyers a choice of outdoorsy options as part of the Countryman Getaway Package when the wagonlike four-door goes on sale in September in Europe.

Among the apparel items are a Mini Countryman T-shirt ($37), black Wellies ($50) and an olive green parka ($180).

For the more adventurous, Mini is also offering a Countryman seat set ($115), which includes a tabletop and two chairs that can be converted into a picnic table.

There is also a five-in-one multifunctional cover ($84) that can be used as a poncho, sleeping bag, awning, picnic blanket or bed cover.

The Countryman is expected to reach U.S. dealers in early 2011.

Inside Line says: Mini fans in the States will have to wait to take delivery of a new Countryman, but should be able to order Getaway items in advance from the Mini Online Shop. — Paul Lienert, Correspondent

Um, yeah, can I have an SUV that's the same price as a Grand Cherokee or Lexus RX but without all that functionality or usefulness?  I'd also like it to be much smaller and with a much smaller engine.  Oh, yeah, one more thing, can you make it ugly?

hey! thanks mini, it was just the thing I was looking for.

This still won't justify the outrageous price they will TRY to charge. Good luck Mini. Maybe throw in a free pug and a few morons will buy this. ;(

Now that is a really cute vehicle.  Has it been priced for the US yet?

It probably has storage space about the same as a Kia Soul-- not much.  But it is sooo cute.  Like a big bulldog.  So ugly it's cute.
