Mini Cooper Special Editions Planned

Just the Facts:

• Inspired by the London Olympics, the limited-edition Mini Baker Street and Mini Bayswater go on sale this spring.
• The Mini Baker Street features a Rooftop Grey metallic paint scheme with black roof, black hood stripes and 16-inch twin-spoke alloy wheels painted gloss black.
• The Mini Bayswater is painted Kite Blue, with a black roof and hood stripes and 17-inch alloy wheels painted gloss black.

WOODCLIFF LAKE, New Jersey — Inspired by the London Olympics, the limited-edition Mini Baker Street and Mini Bayswater go on sale this spring.

Based on the Mini Hardtop, the special editions get additional equipment and unique design details, and will be marketed around the world. The Mini Baker Street is available with the 121-horsepower Mini Cooper engine, while the Mini Bayswater is being offered with Cooper and Cooper S variants.

According to Mini, the Baker Street edition "embodies the youthful, fresh and innovative trend-setting style of the brand," while the Bayswater edition "focuses primarily on the sporting verve and agile handling" of Mini.

The Mini Baker Street features a Rooftop Grey metallic paint scheme with black roof, black hood stripes and 16-inch twin-spoke alloy wheels painted gloss black. Optional exterior colors include Pepper White and Midnight Black.

The interior gets new seat material with contrast stitching, as well as the Chrome Line package and the Pepper Pack.

The Mini Bayswater is painted Kite Blue, with a black roof and hood stripes and 17-inch alloy wheels painted gloss black. Optional exterior metallic colors include Midnight Black and Eclipse Grey.

The seats are rendered in Punch leather with side bolsters and contrast stitching. Stainless-steel pedals, piano-black trim, the Chrome Line package and the Pepper Pack are bundled as well.
