Beep-Beep, Yeah: BMW Re-Creates George Harrison's Mini Cooper S

    0 Ratings
SILVERSTONE, England — To mark Mini's 50th birthday, parent BMW has created a "fresh interpretation" of George Harrison's original 1966 Mini Cooper S. The one-off model will be turned over to Harrison's widow, Olivia Harrison, to be auctioned on behalf of the family's Material World Charitable Foundation.

A gift from Beatles manager Brian Epstein, Harrison's gaudily painted Mini starred in the Beatles' 1967 flick Magical Mystery Tour.

The re-creation will be handed off at next week's Mini United event at Silverstone.
