BEIJING — Tumi announced a partnership with Mini called "Mini Goes Tumi," with the premium luggage maker releasing a pair of modified Mini Clubmans as the first product of this collaboration.
Tumi previously built a special set of high-end luggage to complement the Lexus LFA.
The first Tumi Mini is a hunter green Mini One Clubman with black and orange trim and an ergonomic luggage container on its roof. The second car is a black Mini Cooper Clubman S with contrasting red trim.
Tumi not only built custom luggage sets to go along with the special editions, but outfitted the interiors of the Minis with fabrics usually only reserved for its own traveling products.
Tumi said its "Mini Goes Tumi" concept vehicles were specifically built to appeal to the Chinese market.
Inside Line says: A cool partnership that is sure to spawn more collaboration projects in the future.

I like the black/red much better than the Green /orange. The G/O looks like it has "fake" mud on the sills and tires.....like some sort of "outdoorsman" package.

I'm not sure that sitting on seats covered in luggage fabric really sounds like that great of a selling feature.
