2010 Mercury Grand Marquis: The legend lives on — or at least, refuses to die completely. Mercury public relations doesn't like to talk about the Grand Marquis or that it could possibly exist a full decade into the new millennium. Actually, come to think of it, there is no Mercury public relations person.
2010 Mercury Mariner: It wasn't long ago that the Ford Escape's slightly upscale sister, the Mariner, was significantly updated, both the standard gasoline-engine model and the hybrid. So for 2010, there isn't much new except for the addition of some optional electronic niceties. They include: MyKey programmable vehicle key (to prevent your teenager who's borrowed the car from doing all of the stupid things he'd like to), blind-spot mirror (for, you know, better less-blind blind spots), a rearview camera, Active Park Assist (which actually works) and Sync with traffic, directions and information.
2010 Mercury Milan: Like its siblings, the Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKZ, the Mercury Milan sedan got a significant reworking as an early-2010 model. The Milan's middling size, newly powerful four- and six-cylinder engines and let's not forget, the availability of a truly excellent hybrid, make the Mercury sedan an attractive option. Problem is, it's not really any more compelling than the Ford Fusion, which comes with the same engines, the hybrid version and the more powerful 3.5-liter in a Sport model.
2010 Mercury Mountaineer: This Ford Explorer clone has stuck around for several more years than Lincoln's version, the Aviator, did. For 2010 the midsize SUV gets two new colors, Blue Flame and White Platinum (apparently the company couldn't decide whether that last color was white or if it was the color of platinum). The Premier trim line now comes with a moonroof, premium audio and heated leather seats with power adjustment and memory function. One would think if Ford Motor Company was serious about the future of the Mercury brand, it might also provide the division with a version of the Flex or the Edge.
