- Inden Design adds an exhaust and reconfigures the ECU to squeeze an extra 51 horsepower out of the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG.
- The kit includes lightweight carbon-fiber interior pieces and 20-inch wheels.
- It's a modest kit that stays true to the original Mercedes-Benz design.
HAIGER-FLAMMERBACH, Germany — Many tuners have already gotten their hands on the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. Joachim Inden at Inden Design has now followed suit and released a modification package of his own.
Inden calls the car The Flyer, and he understands that the SLS AMG is a masterpiece not to be overly messed with. The modest tune starts with an upgraded exhaust and ECU reflash that boost output on the 6.2-liter V8 by 51 horsepower. The exhaust includes manifolds and catalytic converters, and that extra muscle means total output on the Benz supercar stands at 614 hp and torque at 480 pound-feet.
Some weight is also trimmed from the vehicle, thanks to carbon-fiber interior parts and a set of 20-inch wheels. The dubs are 10.5 inches wide and get 265/30 rubber in front and 295/30 out back.
Pricing and availability have not yet been revealed, but they are sure to be uncovered soon on the Inden Web site.
Inside Line says: Joachim Inden respects the nearly flawless design of the SLS AMG and consequently only tweaks the vehicle for this tune.

MB is getting even more boring. The new E is trying to hard, the S is outdated, the C is the ghetto car, the M is not even a real SUV, the new SLK..is a sleeper. And this SLS..should be renamed the SOS or POS.
Wealth does not mean you have taste...just means you have money(or you're a Madoff wannnabe) . These are MB buyers...no taste.
