- Senner gives the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG a few modest upgrades.
- Exterior modifications include carbon-fiber mirrors and 20-inch wheels.
- An air filter, ECU reconfiguration and exhaust increase output by 34 horsepower and torque by 30 pound-feet.
INGELHEIM, Germany — Senner Tuning has ventured outside its typical Audi comfort zone and released a modification package for the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG.
The gullwing SLS AMG is loaded with 563 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque from the factory, and thanks to a ECU remap, air filter and performance exhaust, Senner manages to squeeze an extra 34 hp and 30 lb-ft out of the supercar's 6.3-liter V8 power plant.
The exterior is outfitted with a pair of carbon-fiber mirrors and gets a new stance with a set of KW coil-overs that are fully adjustable. Fresh rims from Corniche polish off the look and are sized 20-by-9 inches in the front and 20-by-11 inches in the rear. The front rollers are wrapped in 255/30 tires while the back dubs wear 285/30.
Senner says the package costs the equivalent of $25,000.
Inside Line says: Senner respects the stock look of the SLS AMG and keeps the exterior mods to a minimum.

I still hate the roofline of this car when seen in profile.

This thing has been dropped WAY too much. All it needs now is hydros to complete the lowrider look...

Because if any car needed tuning, it's this one!

A stock SLS is better than any tuner's iteration.

It's refreshing to see a tuner who doesn't destroy the appearance of a decent looking car through overkill add-ons. BUT.... geez, this thing looks like it it's been lowered about as much as possible. With extremely low profile tires, likely stiffer suspension and less wheel travel, plus so little clearance (especially under the front overhang), better not try to drive this on many real-world roads near where I live. It would be a question of how soon the expensive wheels are bent or the bottom edges of the expensive bodywork are scraped off.
