- Kicherer releases another modified Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG.
- Output is up 39 horsepower in the Kicherer SLS 63 Supersport.
- The Kicherer supercar was photographed by Frank Luger.
STOCKACH, Germany — For its second version of the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, German tuner Kicherer has hired the well-known photographer Frank Luger to showcase the modified gull-winged beast it has deemed the "SLS 63 Supersport."
By optimizing the car's computer, the tuner is able to squeeze an extra 39 horsepower and 15 pound-feet of torque out of the AMG's 6.3-liter V8 engine. The SLS is originally equipped with 563 hp and 479 lb-ft or torque from the factory. Stainless steel end pipes further aid performance.
Kicherer's main bragging point is the suspension lifting system that it developed with technology partner KW Automotive. The system raises the chassis of the vehicle by 1.2 inches at the push of a button in the cockpit, allowing the car to easily traverse everything from speed bumps to driveway curbs.
For looks, the tuner added a front lip spoiler and rear diffuser fins — both in carbon fiber. Aside from the RS-1 forged alloys, the Mercedes' stock look is pretty much preserved. For the interior, carbon-fiber trim is also available.
Inside Line says: Kicherer refreshes the look of the SLS AMG while still keeping the clean, sleek look that came from the factory. — Mike Lysaght, Correspondent

Nice car, but I'd take the girl over the car any day of the week.
