The Nurburgring is now closed for the winter, but Mercedes-Benz spent its final days at the test track with the upcoming SLS AMG Black Series. As if the standard 563 horsepower SLS wasn’t enough already, the Black Series version will likely turn it up a notch with slightly more horsepower and a more aggressive suspension. There will be far more aggressive body work too, as this SLS will get the lower stance and flared fenders that have become a signature styling element of all the Black Series cars. Most importantly, this SLS will retain the unfiltered exhaust note that makes even the standard coupe sound like race ready track car. Expect to see the finished SLS Black Series early next year with sales beginning in late 2012.

I'd still make out with it behind the middle school.
No one in MY town is rolling matte black. You might be tired of seeing it in magazines and blogs, but I'd venture to say that very few of you have seen a matte black super car in the wild.
As for quality, Benz is fine. On par with anybody else. And, I love it that MB employs more factory workers in the USA than GM.

Agreed Matte Black aka Frozen from BMW is like the mullet of the 80's Business underneath while trying way too hard to be cool on top...
Did anyone else notice the cars in the background of the first shot...AMG ML? anyone?
