HAIGER-FLAMMERSBACH, Germany — German tuner Inden Design has upgraded the Mercedes-Benz S500 with an aero body kit and more power.
The kit includes front and rear spoilers, a rear diffuser and side skirts. Chrome exterior trim has been coated with charcoal matte film, giving the big sedan a more sinister look.
Hardware modifications include the adoption of larger brakes, with six-piston calipers in front and four-pots in the rear, plus 20-inch wheels shod with 265/30R20 rubber in front and 275/30R20s in the rear. For good measure, the suspension has been lowered by 2.0 inches.
Inden fits an AMG stainless-steel exhaust system with twin tailpipes, which bumps output to 420 horsepower, and has removed the V-max speed limiter.
The cabin gets the beauty treatment as well, with two-tone leather door panels, dash, pillars and headliner. Black carbon-fiber trim replaces the original wood.

Why buy this over any S-Class AMG? Probably just as expensive if not more.

coolb944: It's the S550 only in North America. The rest of the world still gets the S500.
Both BMW and MB f-ed things up royally when they disassociated engine displacement from their model numbering. Now none of it makes sense anymore anyway.

Hmmmm, hasn't this model been the S550 since this gen of S-Class came out? The S500 ended with the last S-Class
