FRANKFURT - For the Inspector Gadget in all of us, Mercedes showed off its multi-media intensive S55 AMG Sedan. Looking for Dolby Surround Sound, TV reception, digital video and Internet access during your commute to work? It's got it all, plus video conferencing, a color printer and a fax machine.
As an exercise in excess, the S55 showcases the multimedia capabilities developed by Mercedes-AMG. From the precisely tuned Dolby Surround Sound system to the 16:9 wide-screen video displays (one in the front passenger sun visor, one each in the back of the front-seat headrests) to the 12 auxiliary antennas and four mutually independent TV tuners, the S55 seems a great place to spend the day, even if you don't have anywhere to go.
