Output on the top-model GL500 is upped from 388 to 435 horsepower and 391 to 443 pound-feet of torque thanks to a reconfigured ECU and a sport air filter. The engine performance kit is priced at $5,400. An intelligent lowering system is also an option. It can lower the car up to 1.2 inches and adjusts spring travel depending on road characteristics. For Benz cars with the Airmatic suspension, the C-Tronic suspension costs $1,864.
Carlsson modified the exterior with a new large radiator grille, two hood attachments, headlight inserts, side ledges, LED daytime running lights in the front spoiler lip and polished stainless-steel inserts in the front bumper, front lip, side skirts and hood. The rear also gets a new bumper that makes room for the two oval pipes of the sport muffler. Carlsson will equip your full-size SUV with the aerodynamics kit for $14,346.
The German tuner finishes off the package with a 22-inch set of alloys in a design called 1/11 Evo Brilliant Edition. They are wrapped in Dunlop high-performance 295/35 tires and cost $7,000. Other wheel styles are available on the company's Web site.
