- 2014 Mercedes-Benz B-Class: This new compact car will give Mercedes-Benz a more affordable entry-level vehicle that will simultaneously boost the company's overall fuel mileage numbers. It was first shown at the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show, but it won't arrive in the U.S. until 2013. The new B-Class will definitely use four-cylinder engines and front-wheel drive, two pieces of technology not currently employed by Mercedes in the U.S.
Mercedes-Benz CL-Class
- 2014 Mercedes-Benz CL: After a recent refresh, the CL coupe is expected to get a full redesign in 2013.
Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class
- 2015 Mercedes-Benz CLS: Fully redesigned for the 2012 model year, the CLS sedan isn?t likely to see a refresh until 2014 at the earliest.
Mercedes-Benz E-Class
- 2012 Mercedes-Benz E-Class: After a full redesign for 2010, look for the E-Class to get a minor update in 2011. The main upgrade will be the switch to a new 4.7-liter, twin-turbo V8 on the top-of-the-line model. Not only does it generate a healthy 435 hp, the new engine is expected to return even better mileage than the larger displacement V8 currently used in the E-Class. On base models, a new 3.5-liter V6 will be used that produces 306 hp and 273 pound-feet of torque.
Mercedes-Benz GL-Class
- 2013 Mercedes-Benz GL-Class: After a mild refresh in 2010, look for a full redesign of the full-size GL in 2013.
Mercedes-Benz GLK-Class
- 2013 Mercedes-Benz GLK-Class: An all-new compact SUV for the 2010 model year, the GLK won't see a midcycle refresh until the 2013 model year. At that time, the GLK is expected to get a diesel engine option along with a few mild styling revisions.
Mercedes-Benz M-Class
- 2012 Mercedes-Benz M-Class: An all-new M-Class will arrive late 2011. Like the rest of the Mercedes lineup, the new midsize SUV will get updated engines that will boost power and improve mileage. The overall design is expected to remain very similar to the current model in terms of size, design and purpose.
Mercedes-Benz R-Class
- 2014 Mercedes-Benz R-Class: After a mild refresh for 2011, the R-Class will be due for a major redesign in 2014. Whether that actually happens or not is still up in the air as the R-Class has been a sales disappointment for Mercedes. If the refreshed version starts to show some promise, a second-generation version could get the go-ahead, but for now it's safe to assume that the R-Class will be phased out after the current model runs its course.
Mercedes-Benz S-Class
- 2012 Mercedes-Benz S350 Bluetec: Later this year an all-wheel-drive S350 Bluetec diesel model will join the S-Class lineup. It will be powered by a V6 producing 240 hp and 455 pound-feet of torque.
- 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class: The next-generation S-Class is scheduled to arrive in 2013. In addition to the expected styling changes, Mercedes is considering an all-hybrid lineup. The idea was floated to dealers recently to a lukewarm response, so Mercedes may scale back the plan to include some traditional engines as well.
Mercedes-Benz SL-Class
- 2012 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class: A full redesign of this iconic roadster is expected in late 2011. Prototypes have been spotted testing extensively in Germany and the overall proportions look similar to the current car. Expect to see the new 4.7-liter, twin-turbo V8 under the hood along with the possibility of a lower-priced V6-model that would further help bring down the company's corporate fuel economy average. An AMG version with Mercedes' new 5.5-liter, twin-turbo V8 will follow in 2012.
Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class
- 2015 Mercedes-Benz SLK: The arrival of the fully redesigned version of the SLK for Model Year 2012 means that the earliest that it will get a refresh will be sometime in 2015.
Mercedes-Benz SLS-Class
- 2013 Mercedes-Benz SLS E-Cell: Set the go on sale in late 2012 the all-electric SLS E-Cell is confirmed for production in very small numbers.

The real C-class facelift model year is 2012. Interiors and headlamps will be an overhaul instead of minor cut and paste. A turbo AMG version is planned for the GL-class before the current generation ended.
