LONDON — Autoquake.com, a U.K. Web site dedicated to used-car sales, celebrated the holidays by publishing a top 10 list of the best vehicles in which to have a romantic interlude. Number one on the list is the Mercedes-Benz E-Class wagon — but it's downmarket from there, with the Volkswagen New Beetle a questionable No. 2 pick.
The Web site justified its top 10 list by citing a survey that apparently found that 54 percent of U.K. respondents said they'd had sex in a car.
The Ferrari 458 Italia landed in 3rd place, followed by the Mini Cooper and Volvo V70. The bottom five are the Volkswagen GTI, Alfa Romeo Spider, Rolls-Royce Ghost, Aston Martin Vanquish and, how very British, the Land Rover Discovery (known in the U.S. as the LR4).

Check those top lists of cars for gay drivers lists that go around periodically and tell me the New Beetle (and a ton of other VW products) aren't on them.

2001 Buick Park Avenue. Roomy front bench seat. Roomy rear bench seat. Sure was a hell of a lot more comfortable than the mid-nineties Nissan Altimas that I would drive as company cars when I used to sell them. 'nuff said.

Really dude? What does being gay have to do with the VW Beetle. Plenty of straight guys like the VW Beetle. They make versions that aren't Yellow or Pink you know!.....Dumb comment!
As in pretty much any other arkets, their own products are more successful as the big three have been asleep at the wheel for sometime now. the U.K. favors it's own European kind and the Beetle is a product of a top European company....The VW brand is far more expansive in Europe then it is stateside. The Beetle is a premium small car (like it or not) and offers a variety of powertrains and options that creates an appeal that can cross fluently between the entry-level and premium markets.....That's the smart answer

It doesn't say which percentage of respondents are gay, but I assume a lot with the VW New Beetle pick.
