WINNENDEN, Germany — The experienced Mercedes-Benz tuning house Lorinser has upgraded the 2010 E-Class Coupe in its latest package and revamped the vehicle's exterior and interior.
Lorinser says it gives the coupe a lot of "sporty elegance" with the addition of a modified front bumper with integrated LED daytime running lights, radiator grille, side skirts, roof spoiler, rear lip and diffuser. The exhaust note also gets a new throaty tone with two stainless steel mufflers integrated into the lower part of the back bumper. Although this package doesn't include any modifications under the hood, the tuner did say that a new engine control unit is currently in the making.
The German company offers a variety of wheels that can further stylize the look. It highlights the 20-inch RS9 alloys in this case, which work hand in hand with new springs to drop the vehicle 1.18 inches and give the coupe a meaner stance. A manual lowering-spring set was also developed for the models with the Airmatic suspension.
The vehicle's interior also gets some treatment. Aluminum pedals, a new set of floor mats, illuminated door sills and a new gauge cluster with a maximum speed of 205 mph round out the package.
Inside Line says: Lorinser manages to give the E-Class coupe a much more unique look without being too tacky. — Mike Lysaght, Correspondent
