- 2014 McLaren Entry-Level Sports Car: There will be nothing cheap about this introductory supercar McLaren sports car. Although it will slot in below the MP4-12C in the lineup, this introductory supercar car will still run into the low six-figure range. Think of it as McLaren's official 911 killer and you won't be too far off.
McLaren MP4-12C
- 2012 McLaren MP4-12C: McLaren's first production car since the F1, the MP4-12C is yet another high-end sports car stuffed full of top-notch technology. It uses a carbon-fiber chassis, dual-clutch transmission and a McLaren-designed twin-turbo V8 that delivers 592 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque. Sales begin in the summer of 2011 with a price tag starting at $231,400 (including destination).
- 2013 McLaren MP4-12 Convertible: Not long after the introduction of the MP4-12C coupe, an open-top convertible will be added to the lineup. Given the car's focus on lightweight engineering, expect to see some kind of simple soft top instead of a more complicated retractable hardtop.
McLaren Super Sports Car
- 2014 McLaren Super Sports Car: Although the MP4-12C would seem like the pinnacle of performance, McLaren has an even more exotic flagship sports car in mind. The company has said publicly that it's focused on efficiency more than anything else, so don't expect much more in the way of power. Instead the company is expected to further reduce the weight on this new two-seater through the use of even more exotic materials. Of course, all that carbon fiber will be reflected in the price which could easily top $300,000.
