Judging from the images, the makeover is relatively modest, with minor detail changes to the front and rear ends.
The RS edition that debuts on Friday at the Tokyo salon gets a rear spoiler and 19-inch wheels and tires. Japanese press reports have said the car will also feature Bilstein shocks and Recaro sport buckets.
Mazda will release additional details on the hardware on Sunday.
