Mark McNabb Takes Recently Vacated CEO Slot at Maserati North America

ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, New Jersey — Maserati North America announced Wednesday that Mark McNabb will take over as president and CEO on June 1. McNabb resigned last week from General Motors, where he headed up premium brands Cadillac, Saab and Hummer.

This will be the third change of leadership at Maserati North America in 18 months. Marti Eulberg held the post of president and CEO from June 1, 2008, until April 2009. She was preceded by James Selwa, who was CEO from July 2005 to February 2008.

McNabb previously served as an executive with Nissan, including as corporate vice president for the automaker's Infiniti Global Business unit.

McNabb is likely to find nearly as much challenge in the new job as in the old. Maserati's sales in the United States are down more than 57 percent for the first four months of 2009, with worldwide sales down close to 50 percent.
