VANCOUVER, Washington — The tuning firm Elite Carbon has unveiled a full carbon-fiber body kit for the Maserati GranTurismo that will be available in mid-2009.

Elite is offering a variety of optional go-fast modifications like an upgraded exhaust system, high-performance headers and a totally revamped braking system.

The main event of the treatment is the full carbon-fiber body kit that includes a front bumper with a clear-painted carbon lip, brake intakes and side skirts; also with the clear-painted carbon lower section, a rear deck lid spoiler and a rear diffuser to further help with air flow. A set of 21-inch alloy rims finish off the new aggressive look for the modified Italian stallion.

Elite has yet to announce pricing details, but it definitely won't be cheap considering its Ferrari F430 carbon-fiber mirrors alone carry a price tag of $2,999.

Inside Line says: Elite gives the Maserati a sharp new look with its aggressive carbon-fiber treatment. — Mike Lysaght, Correspondent
