Maserati Goes Girlie

MODENA, Italy — Taking a page from Project Runway, macho Maserati is now dabbling in fashion accessories. It has introduced a purse made from "old brochures recovered from the Maserati archives."

The Italian marque prefers to call this limited-edition creation an "eco-bag." It costs the U.S. equivalent of $186 and is available by contacting Maserati's marketing department. Maserati said it will only make 150 units of the purse.

The Maserati Momaboma eco-bag is made by Momaboma, an Italian company that creates handmade purses and accessories from vintage materials, such as old newspapers, magazines, clothing and textiles.
