2009 Geneva Auto Show: Maserati Gran Turismo S Automatic To Debut

GENEVA — Maserati on Monday said it will introduce the Gran Turismo S Automatic at next week's 2009 Geneva Auto Show.
When asked by Inside Line when the new Gran Turismo S Automatic will arrive in the U.S., Maserati company spokesperson Maria Morgado said, "We don't have any of that information yet."
The new Gran Turismo S Automatic pairs a 4.7-liter V8 that churns out 433 horsepower and 361 pound-feet of torque with a ZF six-speed automatic transmission. Previously, the ZF automatic was offered only with the smaller, 4.2-liter V8.
A few exterior cues hint at what's under the hood. Maserati said the Gran Turismo S Automatic gets new under-door "miniskirts" said to enhance "the dynamism of its profile" and new 20-inch wheels with a Trident design.
In the cabin, Bluetooth is standard and an iPod interface is optional.
Inside Line says: You'll get your first look at this model during the Geneva show, but it's uncertain when it's bound for the U.S. — Anita Lienert, Correspondent
